Now we are the people of God at prayer, and we begin our prayer with silence before the LORD…And now, let us pray -- Heavenly Father:
WE
PRAY:
For a deepening of our relationship with Jesus:
that the Christ may be our way, our truth, and
our life in all areas of our
lives...LORD,
HEAR OUR PRAYER
WE PRAY:
For the grace of faith: that our faith may grow
as we recall all the blessings which God has
given us, and that we may find in the Christ
true life and a truly human way to
live...LORD,
HEAR OUR PRAYER
WE PRAY:
For all who are struggling to understand the
ways of the Christ: that the Spirit will lead
them to recognize the works of God in their
lives and in the world so that they may be
grasped by the Word of
Life...LORD,
HEAR OUR PRAYER
WE PRAY:
For the widows and the forgotten of our
society: that God will renew their hearts and
strengthen their spirits, and that the church
would be empowered to reach out to those in
need...
LORD, HEAR OUR PRAYER
WE PRAY:
For all who are burdened by worry and anxiety:
that they may find in Christ hope, freedom, and
peace...LORD,
HEAR OUR PRAYER
WE PRAY:
For all who are ill or broken in spirit: that
they may find healing and renewal in Christ
whose cross brought life and renewal to
all...LORD,
HEAR OUR PRAYER
AND FINALLY
WE PRAY:
For peace in the world: that the light of the
God's Word may lead the heads of nations to
seek new paths for peace...
We know many people in our own community of
faith who are sick and suffering. Let us pray
for all in need as we remember some their names
to the LORD:

AND
Hear now our prayer for your church this
morning, as we say:
LORD HAVE MERCY…We
ask this through our LORD Jesus Christ, your
Son, who lives and reigns with YOU, and the
HOLY Spirit; one God, for ever and ever.
